Privacy Policy

Overview

Verde turns a photo of your space into a redesign. To do that, the photo has to leave your device and be processed on a server — there is no way around it, so this policy is specific about what that means.

Your Photos

When you choose a photo — from your camera or your photo library — it is uploaded to our storage on Google Firebase and passed to an AI image model that produces the redesign. The generated design is stored alongside it so you can come back to the project, edit it, and save or share the result.

• Photos and generated designs are stored under an identifier belonging to your app installation.
• They are never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
• They are never used to train our models or anyone else's.
• Deleting a project from inside the app removes its photo and its designs from our storage.

The AI generation itself is performed by a third-party model provider acting as our processor. Images are sent for the sole purpose of producing your design and are not retained by us for any other purpose.

Identifiers

Verde does not make you fill in a registration form to start. Behind the scenes the app signs in to Firebase Authentication and is issued a user ID, and it also uses a device identifier, so your projects can be tied to you and restored inside the app. Both are used for app functionality and for analytics, and both are treated as linked to your identity.

These identifiers are ours and stay inside the services listed below. They are not shared with advertisers, not sold, and not used to follow you into other companies' apps or websites.

Email Address

If you give us an email address — by contacting support, or through any sign-in or account feature the app offers — we collect and store it, linked to your identity, and use it to run the service and to answer you. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

Customer Support

When you write to us, we keep the message you send and anything you attach to it — screenshots, a design you are asking about, the description of the problem. This is stored as customer-support content linked to your identity, and it exists so we can reproduce your issue and reply to it.

Camera and Photo Library

The app asks for camera access so you can photograph the space you want redesigned, and for permission to add to your photo library so you can save a design you like. It does not read through your photo library on its own — you pick the image, and only what you pick is used.

The app does not request location access at any point.

What We Collect

The full list, in the same categories Apple uses on the App Store product page. Every item below is linked to your identity, and none of it is used for tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

• Photos or videos — the images you upload, for app functionality.
• Other user content — the answers you give about the space, your edit instructions, and the designs, plant lists, materials lists and cost ranges produced from them. Used for app functionality and analytics.
• Customer support — the messages and attachments you send us, for app functionality.
• Email address — if you provide one, for app functionality.
• User ID and device ID — for app functionality and analytics.
• Purchase history — which plan you are on and what you have bought, for app functionality and analytics.
• Product interaction — which screens you open and which features you use, for app functionality and analytics.

We also process technical data needed to run the service securely, including abuse-prevention signals from Firebase App Check.

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple and processed through RevenueCat, which tells the app whether your subscription is active. We never see or store your card details — Apple handles payment entirely. RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt and a pseudonymous identifier for your installation.

Analytics

We use analytics to understand how the app is used and where it fails — which screens get opened, which features get used, which plans get bought, and how the generated content performs. Product interaction, purchase history, the user and device identifiers, and the content generated for your projects all feed into this.

Analytics here means our own understanding of our own app. The data is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not combined with data from other companies to build a profile of you.

No Ads, No Tracking

Verde shows no advertising and contains no advertising SDK. Nothing we collect is used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and nothing is shared with a data broker — which is why the app does not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Service Providers

We rely on a small number of processors to run the app:

• Google Firebase — anonymous authentication, database, file storage, server functions and abuse protection.
• An AI image model provider — generates the redesign from your photo.
• RevenueCat — subscription state.
• Apple — App Store distribution and payment.

Each of these processes data on our instructions and for the purposes described above.

Children's Privacy

Verde is intended for adults planning changes to a home or garden and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

• Delete any project from inside the app — the photo and its designs go with it.
• Save any design you want to keep to your own photo library.
• Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete all of it, by emailing us.
• Uninstall the app to stop all further processing.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the update will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date and announced in the app's release notes.
